As a practitioner of Somatic Energy Medicine, I have the honor and privilege to hold safe and sacred space with beloved people of my local community and beyond.
The ripple that the presence and support that people receive from me in session carries on into the lives of those who are in direct relation and reliance.
Knowing this humbles me. Knowing the continuity that the work I do, my "dharma" or "duty" offers gives me great peace in my being...
So what is community to me?
Community is a continuity of our collective unity, in spirit, mind and body. From Human, animals, insects, plants and trees locally and globally we are All in this universe on a small planet called Earth.
Community springs from family, from family to society.
Community to me is choosing to spend my time around people of like heartedness.
This does not mean to be exclusive, this means to build upon where I wish to grow.
Even though we may not see eye to eye with others we are still part of the whole....
This weekend I got to got with my family to Petaluma Ca, and join the people of Weaving Earth and learn Peace Making Principles with a great Native Elder Paul Rayfield. The number one tool in the whole process is LISTENING.
This is key. We all want to be heard not hurt. We all hurt because we're not feeling understood...
"Community as medicine."
How can it be?
How can it be more?
How can we connect in person and feel each others presence and listen with patience?
What is it that propels us to want to connect?
Who needs this medicine, a need for connection that I know?....
Who and what in our community can benefit from my help?
See in here we become the "remedy" the medicine that heals and builds a vibrant community!!
