Sattva
represents the neutral node in the triune field in between rajas
(positive) and Tamas (negative). These are called Guna's in East
Indian Vedic terms. The knowledge of such elements are useful in
living a conscious lifestyle. It is in this knowledge that the
ancient seers lived by that gave them the best chance to live a life
of balance & longevity.
This
is why Sattva is the most revered state of being.
“Sattva
which is 'I' as conscious being, is the subjective consciousness that
perceives and manipulates matter and energy. The quality of our
awareness depends upon the functioning within your consciousness of
sattva, rajas, and tamas, which
work by mutual suppression: whichever is strongest at any one instant
expresses itself and suppresses the others. Sattva
is the 'I' as subject; tamas,
'I' as object; and rajas,
'I' as action that connects subject with object. All are
manifestations of ahamkara,
ego.”

Sattva
mentally reflects subjective spiritual consciousness, stillness,
peace, compassion and balance. Physically Sattva in the body will
show up as radiant health, luster to the eyes and skin, very content
and calm. Sattva is a most spiritual place of being, reflecting the
threads of Truth in all things, coming from a place of Oneness/unity,
balance and egoless non attachment...
Sattva
